Merriel has been a Director of the Spencer Group of Companies for 20 years and has responsibility for marketing and public relationship activities across the Group. She also works closely with the Chairman, acting as his assistant and point of liaison with external bodies.

Philip Duckett

Financial Director
Philip is an economics graduate and a fellow member of the Chartered Certified Accountants. He has worked in the property investment and development sector since 1994 and joins us as a former Director of Langtree Group Plc. Philip was also Finance Director from inception of Network Space Ltd being a successful joint venture with English Partnerships to deliver workspace accommodation in the coalfield regions.

Paul Jackson BSc (Hons) MRICS MBEng MAPM
Greenbrook Construction/Managing Director
Paul is an experienced Chartered Surveyor and has a wide knowledge of project management, employer's agent and quantity surveying roles within numerous sectors of the construction industry.
His individual expertise is in the development of framework agreements, innovative procurement strategies and in the preparation of feasibility estimates, cost plans and costed master plans. He is responsible for the management of the refurbishment and construction development programme across the Group's property portfolio. His particular emphasis is to ensure that procedures and processes are in place to both maintain and improve service delivered. He also concentrates on streamlining the main and sub-contract supply chain to ensure it is working effectively and efficiently.

Andy Sharp
Spencer Property Asset Management / Operations & Facilities Director MBIFM
Andy has many years experience in both Operational & Facilities Management and Information Technology Systems and Solutions. He heads up a team that manages the hard and soft facilities of the various buildings and undertakes both reactive and planned maintenance issues to ensure the property assets and estates are maintained to high standards. He oversees the Group's Health and Safety policies and the Group’s information technology and communications systems to ensure they operate at their optimum.

Stephen Nealon ICIOB DipSurv

Stephen joined Spencers in March 2006 to set up an Architectural design facility for the Spencer Group of Companies. He brought with him 32 years of Architectural and Surveying experience from both public and private sectors.
Following the formation of and move to Greenbrook Construction in 2007, Stephen now heads a small team which provides an Architectural service for all in-house construction work undertaken by Greenbrook and the entire Spencer Group of Companies.
Stephen is responsible for all aspects of Architectural design in respect of in-house construction projects, and acts as the clients' Architectural liaison where larger schemes are externally sourced on a design and build basis.

Jonathan Halfpenny BSc (Hons) MRICS
Greenbrook Construction/Senior Project Manager
Jonathan is an experienced Project Manager and has a breadth and depth of private and public sector project management knowledge.
Jonathan is a Chartered Building Surveyor by background and this practical construction knowledge enables him to fully understand the building mechanics and brings invaluable expertise to the project team in the delivery of projects.
He is able to draw upon this diverse range of building and project experience, and is responsible for the delivery of many of the Group's refurbishment and new build projects, leading them from the planning and concept stages through to the successful completion on site.

Alexander Taylor

Alex joins us from a national surveying practice where he specialised as an industrial agent. He has six years experience in property and has completed a masters degree in commercial property management. Alex is responsible for agency and lettings across the portfolio, liaising with external agents, local authorities and prospective occupiers to co-ordinate lettings and disposals. He works closely with clients towards sustainable, mutually beneficial agreements developing a good relationship between landlord and tenant.
